Board of Directors
Slow Food Asheville is a local chapter, or "convivium," of the international Slow Food movement. The local groups are called "convivia" because they bring together, in a convivial and enjoyable way, people who love food and traditions. Our convivium was founded in March, 2003. Our Mission Statement Slow Food Asheville promotes and preserves the food culture of our region through the relationships between farmers, the table, families, and the community with whom we share our food. The Slow Food Asheville Board of Directors is a group of highly committed volunteers working to make sure that our food and food systems are good clean and fair.
